The language explosion proper won't happen for about a year or so, but he's recently been experimenting with squeaks and squeals as well as gurgles and screams. Seems like he's trying to communicate with us, which is lovely. Even if all he wants to say is "I'M COLD!!!"

Daddy is about to run in the Shiraoka marathon. Ben is going to cheer him on while wearing his new shawl, which is extemely warm and beautiful. It was made by a friend of his great-grandparents, a lady called Joyce Oakeby. Thank you to Joyce and to great-grandma-and-pa.
