Fun with Paint #2

2009.09.26
[Before: new cupboards and toilets in place, but ugly, concreted walls behind the toilets and rusted pipes. See this entry for previous works done]

[Angle 1 - The old paint job was an enamel (oil-based) finish, but I replace it with acrylic (water-based) paint in a satin finish. Since there is a natural 'divide' halfway up the wall, one staff member had the idea of a two-tone effect.

The whole bathroom receives a white undercoat before the top half is painted a pale turquoise green.]

[Angle 2 - New pegs and hooks for hand towels (the 3YO group) will go on this wall soon.]

[Angle 3 - The only part of the room not to be painted is the door, which is permanently open, chained against the wall. Hopefully I don't regret that though!]

Progress of the Kindergarten bathroom painting over the last couple of days (still unfinished, the lower half of the walls are to be painted a darker shade of green).
